Infrastructure expansion at Isovolta

Costing more than € 10 million and with corresponding infrastructural expansion, the "VTM4" (vertical impregnation machine) is the largest single investment of the last years at the Wiener Neudorf site.

After 2 years of searching for partners, intense construction and computing output and countless working hours, the new VTM 4 impregnating system is ready.

The official opening ceremony took place in June 2017, since then, production is running at full capacity.

VTM 4 - hard facts

16.5 tons of reinforcement bars and 210 m3 of concrete were used for the machine foundation which equates to the content of 30 concrete mixer trucks. The steel construction of the meeting stage has a weight of 150 tons not including the machine components and is held at each level by 500 kg of screws. The thermal oil pump pumps 256,000 litres per hour through the system, this pump capacity can fill a bathtub in 2 seconds.
