FunderMax extends their production plant
In October 2017, the new production line has been inaugurated at St. Donat, near St. Veit/Glan.
The company invested 13 Mio. EUR in this site, where in future its own Star Favorit boards will be produced and customised for the more and more demanding global market.
Unique all over the world: manufacturing under cleanroom conditions
Rene Haberl, Managing Director of FunderMax, about the new plant: „We are using a completely new technology where we are manufacturing under cleanroom conditions, that are usually only required for semiconductors - this is something that does not exist in our industry anywhere in the world. The products we get meet the highest standards of our customers, like for example laboratories and specialist clinics.”
Planning and building the new site took almost 20 months, developing the project took another 12 months. The extended production site results in an increase in capacity by 40% for plant 3, which means 14 Mio. square metres of boards per year. Additionally, 25 new long-term jobs were created.
